So, a lot of time, I hear people saying they are not the “business-type” of people . Well, maybe they think they do not have the managerial skills required to run one but all the same there are still other ways to financial freedom and independence……… Investment is one way out.
Then, what is investment?
Investment has been viewed by most people as a complex activity. However investment can really be simple if you know what you are doing and where you are going. In simple dictionary terms, investment is the placement of capital in expectation of deriving income or profit from its use or appreciation. There are different investment vehicles depending on which you like or suits you just as there are different motor vehicle riders with different preferences.
Before moving to the different investment vehicles we have, there are some important things to note in investment
- Investment is simple and anyone can go into it if only you know what you are doing; don’t view it as a complex activity
- Do not go investing in a particular plan because of what you hear people say; painstakingly make your own analysis. People are easily led astray by what they hear.
- Do not hesitate to seek professional advice on investment plans; it reduces your chances of error.
